Darlene II
The Darlene II is a 48 ft. Carman fiberglass charter vessel
built by Ronnie Carman in Crisfield, Md. She was put into
service on June 6, 1997. Her net weight is 13 tons and she
has a 15 ft. beam and draws 4 ft. She is powered by a Caterpillar
3208/435 HP turbo engine which cruises up to 20 mph. She has
two stations with hydraulic steering. The boat is certified
by the U.S. Coast Guard for 34 passengers, plus crew. The
boat has the latest state of art electronics including 32
mile Furuno radar, Garmin 2010 with chart plotter and C-Chip
Map, Micrologic Loran C, Furuno color video sounder, Lowrance
2nd station dept finder, Cobra side band radio and Apelco
VHF radio.
Convenience features include, Westerbeke 5 kw diesel generator,
AM/FM radio with CD player, additional 120V outlets for phone
chargers, 12V phone outlet, 3-watt cellular phone, wash down
pump, shore power connector, plus heat.
Safety features include 46 adult and child type 1 life jackets,
30" ring buoy with strobe light, 18 person life raft
with strobe light, FE-241 fixed fire extinguisher system,
Halogen deck lights, 5 portable fire extinguishers, 4 automatic
1500 gph bilge pumps with high water alarms and a front emergency
hatch.
